Hi, I’m not sure which makes me feel more self-conscious: A scaly red rash on my face or dandruff flakes on my dark top? Unfortunately, I suffer from both as do most of you. I’m always on the lookout for something that will help my dandruff. OVer the years I’ve tried almost every anti-dandruff shampoo out there with some degree of effectiveness. Unfortunately they always leave my hair dry and brittle. In the last half a year, I’ve been using my regular gentle shampoo with 1-2 drops of eucalyptus essential oil (read about eucalyptus oil for seb derm in this article) with some effect. I the colder months, I could go 3 days before my scalp started to itch but in recent weeks, because of the humid Queensland summer, I needed to wash my scalp every 1.5 to 2 days! By chance, I stumbled on The Blowout Professor on Youtube. Has anyone heard of him? He was talking about the double wash technique and a lightbulb went on in my head. Could this be the answer?! I’ve tried it a few times and I’ve managed to pull my hair washing out to 3 days again despite 36 degree days and 90% humidity. Win! The double wash technique is essentially washing your scalp with shampoo twice. You do everything else the same. It’s worth a try. It may help you. This is the link to his video if you want to watch it for yourself: How to wash your hair properly Recent videos: My latest video is out at last! It’s about my skincare rules for seb derm. I go through your skincare regimen to protect your skin barrier and prevent seb derm. |
