Hi, Have you ever wondered: Is this safe for seb derm? I have. Plenty of times. Then I squint at the ingredient list and do a dozen google searches, misspelling half the names as I go along. Half an hour later, I sometimes have my answer. Sometimes I don’t. But what a pain it is to buy skincare products! I’ve done this so many times now that I can do it in my sleep. However, I get it that most people don’t have the time nor the inclination to do all this research. That’s why I thought a ‘Product Database’ would be a good idea for madamewelll.com My vision is for this page to be the easiest and quickest way for you to know if a product is safe for seb derm. Most popular skincare products will eventually be listed with a ‘SAFE’, ‘MAYBE’ or ‘NO WAY’ tag. I just started this last week so the list is pretty sparse. I invite you to check it out anyway. What do you think? Is this a project I should continue working on? How can I improve so the page can be more helpful to you? I would love to have some feedback. Just hit reply to this email. |

Can I use face oils if I have seb derm? Of course you can! Whether or not face oils are suitable for you depend more on your skin type than whether or not you have seb derm. My only precaution is to use face oils that don’t contain one of the plant oils that feed Malassezia. You can check out the list of common oils to avoid in this article. * Every week I answer one reader question. If you have any questions for me, just hit reply and ask away. Don’t worry, I never use your name or any other identifier. |

The product database is great and I love your articles on which oils are best and worst. I’m looking for a SD safe beard balm. Lots of guys have real issues with SD under beards. It would be great to see a guide on safe beard balms and oils!
