One week to Christmas! And I’m already eating junk (18/12/2022)

Hi,

It’s one week to Christmas! We bought presents, we’re listening to Christmas jingles and watching netflix reruns of Christmas movies… But the one big thing about Christmas is all the ‘bad food’ around. There’s chocolates and cookies, eggnog, fruit cakes and way too much alcohol floating around.

I don’t know about you but I find it almost impossible to say no for long. You might be able to decline the first few times but when you are offered a chocolate Santa for the hundreth time and your day isn’t going as well as you want, you”ll find yourself nodding.

The problem with this is that it will not only make you feel bad afterwards when you get that big sugar crash, if you’re finding it hard to control your seb derm rash, all that bad food will only make it worse. Sugar and alcohol are triggers for some people as they can increase inflammation and sebum production.

I wasn’t good this week. I ‘gave in’. Big time. My skin isn’t the best right now. Even though my seb derm rash didn’t come back, my face is oilier and I have more acne.

If you’re like me and trying to ignore all the yummy food around, take heart that you’re not alone. One way that you can do this is to stop trying to not think of the pink elephant (know that theory?) and instead focus on your goals. I bought bars of 95% dark chocolate and will be eating a little square after every meal as my treat while everyone stuffs their face. It doesn’t take all the temptation away but it really helps.

On Christmas day, I’m going to do eat whatever I want and enjoy myself. Because I know I can get back to my healthy lifestyle and stop eating junk food after with these tips.

BTW, my new Youtube video is out:

If you’re looking for the perfect face oil, this is it. Check it out: https://youtu.be/YoWZnbF3B5E

There will be no email from me next week as I will be enjoying Christmas with my family 🙂

Have a joyous Christmas and stay safe!

See you next year!

Sharon
